Mission

Lifting As We Climb Consulting focuses on supporting individual and collective healing by utilizing strengths-based, culturally grounded approaches.

In honor of those who have come before us and their faith, vision, determination, as well as resilience, Lifting As We Climb Consulting embodies John Mbiti’s quote of

“I am because we are and, since we are, therefore I am.”

and the National Association of Colored Women’s motto of “Lifting As We Climb.” Lifting As We Climb Consulting recognizes that our realities and destinies are interconnected.  Therefore, it is essential to support the well-being and growth of others during individual efforts of forward movement.

Inspired by Fannie Lou Hamer’s quote of

“I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.”

Lifting As We Climb Consulting was developed to facilitate collective action towards social justice. 
Social inequity cannot be addressed by sitting on the sidelines commenting on what needs to happen. 

As poignantly stated by Toni Morrison,

“It is ridiculous to focus on lipstick and band-aids when there is a plague in our land.”

         At Lifting As We Climb Consulting, the focus is on working with you to identify and address areas of growth through offered services of coaching, masterclasses, summits, and therapy.
Services are culturally relevant and trauma informed.
